AutoComplete Settings In Internet Explorer 7
 
By default, AutoComplete stores entries for Web addresses as well as user names and passwords for forms.
(You are prompted whether you want to store passwords or not).
You can configure what AutoComplete is used for or, if you like, you can even turn it off completely.

Use the following outline to perform this task in Internet Explorer 7:

1. Open Internet Explorer and select Tools.
 

2. Click Tools and select Internet Options.

3. Select the Content tab.
 
4. Click the Settings button under AutoComplete.

5. Clear the check box beside any options you do not want AutoComplete used for.

    For example, if you do not want AutoComplete to store user names and passwords,
    simply clear the check box beside this option.

6. Click OK. and OK on the Main Options window.
